Job description
We are beginning a phase of optimizing our engineering and manufacturing processes. We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to standardize, automate, and design our industrial control panel schematics.
Technical and Operational Responsibilities

Accurately analyze specifications to initiate the design of engineering plans.

Design electrical schematics and the physical layout of panels, strictly adhering to the UL508A standard.

Build and manage EPLAN databases, including creating macros and performing advanced system configuration.

Deploy design automation, including automatic identification of cables and components.

Standardize technical documentation for production, thereby reducing the margin of error during assembly on the shop floor.

Collaborate with project managers to ensure adherence to KPIs, deadlines, and technical consistency.

Optimize design processes to increase the direct profitability of projects.
Expertise Required
-
4 to 7 years of experience as a drafter
In-depth understanding of three-phase circuits and industrial voltage, instrumentation, and automation.
Working knowledge of UL508A (CSA an asset).
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a strong focus on fact-based problem-solving.
Functional English required for technical documentation.
